The Minitek System has been specifically designed by Cathelco to provide effective and economical hull corrosion protection for luxury yachts.
An impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system has many advantages in comparison with the use of traditional sacrificial anodes. There is no need to change the Minitek anodes at each dry docking so maintenance costs are significantly reduced.
In operation, Minitek automatically adjusts the level of output to the anodes resulting in continuous, precisely controlled protection at all times. Also, the anodes are flush mounted to the hull considerably reducing weight and drag, therefore enhancing performance and fuel economy.
Together, this means that Minitek offers superior protection at an affordable price, whilst eliminating corrosion and on-going maintenance costs.
