Read MoreCathelco seawater pipework anti-fouling systems are supplied for the treatment of seawater used for cooling and processing purposes by the power generation and petrochemical industries. They have also been used in harbourside offices and hotels which use seawater for air conditioning systems.
Generally, the anti-fouling systems need to deliver copper ions to the intakes of each system using seawater. This is achieved by using pairs of copper and aluminium anodes or a ‘gate’ containing the anodes. An alternative method is to use an electrolysis tank which can pipe the treated water directly into the intakes, eliminating the requirement for a submerged structure.
