Commercial ICCP Systems for Cruise Ships

Typically, C-Shield ICCP systems for cruise ships consist of independent forward and aft systems using modular or thyristor control panels.

Forward systems
To provide a smooth hull profile with minimum drag, the forward system normally has port and starboard circular recessed anodes with outputs of 100 amps. Power can be supplied from either a modular or thyristor control panel, the tendency being to fit modular panels where possible because of their compact size and ease of installation.

Aft Systems

With high outputs from a relatively small surface area, linear loop anodes are ideal for installation on cruise vessels. Because of their powerful output, one 300 amp linear loop anode fitted on each side of the hull gives effective protection
